How long does teeth whitening last?

The results after whitening depend on varying factors. These include genetics, diet, age, some medications (like tetracycline), and certain habits (like smoking) which may affect the length of your whitening results.

Teeth whitening lasts longest when patients follow a healthy diet, avoid smoking, avoid teeth staining foods and drinks, utilize a straw when possible, and maintain regular dental cleanings.

Custom take-home whitening trays can be utilized to maintain the results of in office whitening.
